Gymnastics

Hey viewers!!! Today i will be talking about gymnastics as Olympians just showed it yesterday.

Gymnastics is a sport involving the performance of exercises requiring physical strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, and balance. Competitive artistic gymnastic is the best known of the gymnastic sports. It typically involves the women's events of uneven bars, balance beams, floor exercise, and vault. Men's events are floor exercise, pommel horse, still rings, vault, parallel bar, and high bar. Gymnastics evolved from exercises used by the ancient Greeks, that included skills for mounting and dismounting a horse, and from circus performance skills.
Participants can include children as young as two years old doing kindergym and children's gymnastics, recreational gymnasts of ages 5 and up, competitive gymnasts at varying levels of skill, and world class athletes.

Gymnastics requires a lot of practice of not only techniques but stamina and muscles to sustain yourself in the air or doing a few flips in one jump. All this movements requires strong leg and abdomen muscles. Training this muscles takes a period of time to attain and after that, comes balancing. People that learn gymnastics need to be able to stablilise their center of gravity to maintain your balance. Losing one balance can result fatal injury. For example, when you balance yourself on a pair of uneven bars and lose your balance, if you injured your head, you might actually die.

Gymnastics is fun and challenging but at the same time it is also dangerous depending on what happens when an accident happens. I recommend this sport to those who like to suspend in the air as there are a lot of techniques that will require you to be off the ground. Gymnastics is also good for those who wants to lose weight as this sport really use up a lot of energy and at the same time build up your muscle. To end this, i would like to share with you a video about gymnastics

Support Singapore Team , Support Singapore Sports

The London Olympic 2012 has start and the opening ceremony is awesome as usual.I hope everyone will be excited to see at least one of the Singaporeans bringing a medal back home. Speaking of this, many people prefer to support other countries sports instead of their own country sports.I do also support other country sports club but meanwhile support our local leagues too.Why do people support other countries sports league It is because mainly because Singapore sports league like the S- league is not as famous as clubs like Man City,Chelsea,Man United and etc.Singaporeans could not watch Singapore Sports league often at television not like EPL and NBA but we should support our own local sports team.Although our league is not as good as the league at other countries, but you know it is our own league, so LET'S SUPPORT OUR OWN SINGAPORE SPORTS LEAGUE.
Here is one video about supporting our own league:

There are a few athletes representing Singapore for the London Olympic that I would like to highlight to you.First is Tao Li, she is the best butterfly swimmer in Singapore and south east Asia.Second is Joseph Schooling,he is just 17 and already representing Singapore for Olympics this year.Next, the Singapore table tennis team, I am sure you already see Pearson post about table tennis and I am sure they will win at least a bronze medals and how about the Singapore badminton and gymnastic team, they are not bad too.So Let's support them all the way.
Do comment about Singapore sports, London Olympic and anything else about sports and do continue to support our local sports and  be patient for our next post, thank you, bye for now. :)

Karate

Hey guys, today I would be talking about the martial art karate. Many people think that karate is relatively weak but in reality, karate is actually very deadly. Karate actually teaches many moves that aim for the vital points in the human body. Due to this, many moves in karate cannot be use in competition which makes it look weaker compared to other martial art.

Karate originated from Japan in the Ryukyu island  in what is now Okinawa. It was developed partially from indigenous fighting methods called te which mean hand and from Chinese kenpo.  Karate is a striking art using punching, kicking, knee and elbow strikes, and open-handed techniques such as knife-hands. Grappling, locks, restraints, throws, and vital point strikes are taught in some styles. A karate practitioner is called a karateka.

Karateka practices their punches everyday by punching wooden poles wrap around by straw. This cause their hands to be really hard and enable them to deal a huge impact to their target. It is said that getting hit by their bare fist unguarded is like being hit by a solid rock. Karateka also learn various hand techniques like the spear hand, eagle claw, middle knuckle fist, spear finger and the flat fist. All this hand techniques can do incredible damage to the human body if train to perfection as the surface area is small and all the force is pass through that small area. This hand techniques can easily destroy hard materials like brick and wood.

Karateka also practices kicking and elbow techniques though they mainly focus on hand techniques. But this does not mean that their kicking and elbow techniques are mediocre compared to other martial art.

This post is to raise awareness to the people who have the mindset that karate is weak, I was one of them as I felt that karate was rather weak compared to other martial arts but i was wrong. Karate very is actually very deadly when there are no restrictions to it. So please don't get into a street fight or a brawl with a karateka or else you would be in deep water.

Running : The Sport That Make You Tired

Are all of you excited about the London Olympic? I can't waited to sit at my home and watch the Olympic all day long .Speaking of Olympic , today i want to tell you about a sport that many people will watch during Olympic and the sport is track and field.Track and field especially the 100m race is a must watch event as it is the most exciting part among all. But before we continue on this topic, i would like to share one video about this great superstar in 100m race and the man himself is none other than Usain Bolt.
That is his world record timing during Beijing Olympic 2008.Let's see if he can break his world record this time round at London Olympics but I heard he have a strong competitor call Yohan Blake. It will be a great competition between the two so do watch it.
Running ,which is a part of track and field,is a sport where u can lose a lot of weight if you run a bit everyday. It also help improve your stamina in playing other sports such as soccer , basketball or even cycling. If you want to lose weight like what William say in his post, you should start to jog a little each day rather than sitting at home don't eat.Running is a tiring sport but if you want to relax or relive stress, slow jog is a good way for it.
